Fast, always successful and tasty cheese pies! This recipe was given to me by my mother-in-law who took her from a lady who worked in a bakery that was famous for its cheese pies!\
What we need:
For the dough:
- 1 bowl of cow’s yoghurt
- 1 bowl (same as yoghurt) corn oil or seed oil
- 1 sachet of baking powder
- 1 tablespoon full of margarine at room temperature but not melted
- 1 tsp. sweet salt
- 550 g flour for all uses
For the filling:
- 300g grated feta
- 2 eggs
- Optionally pepper or dried mint (I do not put)
For the spice:
- 1 whipped egg
How we do it:
- In a bowl we make our dough by putting and mixing all the ingredients together. It does not matter the row just put flour in the end and some more until the dough does not stick in your hands and is relatively soft. To help you, it will take about 550 grams.
- Also, the yogurt bowl I use is 320 grams.
- Once our dough is ready (it will take no time at all!) leave it in the bowl covered for half an hour to rest and at the same time prepare the filling by shredding the feta and mixing it with the eggs.
- So then we get the dough and make balls in the size of a moderate walnut (the size you decide) and press them with your palm on the counter to open with a little thickness, do not open them on a thin sheet. We each put a tat. Sweet filling and close as a crescent tapping well with your fingers around.
- Repeat until the dough ends.
- Place them on a non-stick paper baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 180 above the bottom resistors for about 30 minutes until they are well-pruned.
